Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Despite not being raised among other Hellfires, Ahpuch sure fits the role of a female! She is extremely intense, with a loud voice, expressive motion, and a generally dark sense of humor. She has a knack for scaring others, which she'll do both intentionally and unintentionally.  Her father especially is threatened by her and so treats her with a lot of contempt and malice. Her relationship with her mother isn't much better. Her mother, Equestria, is constantly trying to force her beliefs on her, beliefs of destiny and fate that Ahpuch simply isn't interested in. So she and her parents have a strained relationship that is in a constant state of cracking. Ahpuch will often escape her family to hang out with her step-brother, who also happens to be apprehensive around her, but tolerates her antics and intensity. Despite her violent nature, Ahpuch is a friendly, fun dragon who doesn't really want to hurt anyone, just fluster them. She's smart and creative enough to avoid touching others.
