Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Freshly grown up and eager to share his life story with the local scribe, this dragon went over to her house only to find a most cranky sorceress indeed; apparently she'd just gotten done penning over a hundred histories and was in NO mood to write a single one more! Despite his objections he was shouted at, whacked with a lamp, and promptly thrown out--but not completely without accomplishment. Later feeling rather guilty about the whole ordeal, the writer decided to write down the story of his meeting with her instead!
