Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Merthrylia is a Geode dragon. While she doesn't move around much, she enjoys the company of others- and usually gets it! The beautiful crystals growing on her body attract many admirers, much to her glee. Her family views this with pride and some annoyance and finally started to make a profit from it by selling the multicolored crystals that are often shed from Merthrylia's body (Camreth the Earth and Ashayet the Silver's idea). Unlike Stone dragons, the crystals growing from Merthrylia's rock body have to be "trimmed" every so often to prevent them from growing too large and causing her discomfort. While this is a painstaking process for her family (everyone pitches in) and even more so for the young Geode, her cheerful tolerance of it and her bubbly nature more than makes up for the hard work and the inconvenience of the constant stream of admirers in the family cave.
