Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It shrieks for food everytime you get close.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Nacrene is a pretty adorable baby. The way he waddles around and squeaks at small critters gets the adults to go "aww". He has a habit of chewing on his claws and making his fur puff. Even the stone-faced stone captain of the guard (figuratively) softens when Nacrene wanders over and plays with her tail. She might even say "aww" at him just because. Most dragons agree that Nacrene is pretty aww-inspiring.
