Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Doevd for the Cheesecake is a dragon who cannot spell, has horrible grammar and loves cheesecake. She gets her name because when she was a hatchling, arya10 had made a cheesecake for herself, and had laid it on a table for a moment. DFTC hopped on a rock, and well, dove for the cheesecake. Arya10 quickly snatched it up, and DFTC got a snout full of table. When she got up, she said "Doved for the cheesecake." Arya10 doubled over laughing, and then realized that those were her first words. So, Arya10 gave her that name, spelled that way because that's how DFTC spells it. And to this day, DFTC still atempts to steal cheesecake, but never succeeds.
