Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Iratus Extraho means "Anger to Extract" or "Anger Extraction" in Latin. Iratus is the firstborn child of Buoyant Beacon and Saving Rain. He is as temperamental as has grandmother, Blessed Tempest, but unlike his grandmother he has no loving mate to balance out his dangerous temper. From the time he was young, he was often ignored by his father, who was to busy providing for his mother to give him any significant amount of attention. Also he was not as trusting as his mother and he heard the other jibes the dragons threw at her, and so he grew up bitter and angry that he had an unintelligent mother and an absent father. His anger led him to seek out his aunt, Waking Nightmare, one of the cruelest dragons in the cave. She taught him to not just accept the anger and rage but to embrace it. He is truly cruel, but intelligent like his father. He has committed many terrible crimes but has been able to cover them up with little trouble.
