Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Choji is, in a way, a 'Peasant's Dragon'—that is, he enjoys doing work and comes from a rather humble background. One of his parents was a Dorsal, which is a common breed, and he can't brag anything great in his lineage. However, he doesn't mind this.

He enjoys hard work and doesn't seem to mind the dirt or time; he'll do any job from planting (kinda hard without arms) to preparing food, which is his favorite thing to do. Choji isn't so much into eating a lot as he is into nicely preparing it. He is known to add many different spices and flavors into the meat he catches, and he even chops it differently before serving it. This has made him popular with the more 'proper' ladies in the cave, despite his peasant-like attitude.
