Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Minev loves to look out of the cave entrance every morning, gazing at the beautiful surrounding forest. The trees seem to glisten with early buds of morning dew, and the forest rustles with the soft sound of dragons tramping through. A delectable salad for the eye, the tropical paradise of colours jumps out at her, inspires her. If she squints ever so slightly, the sandy lands of the far off desert leap out, the golden-brown rolling plains of heaven, while the lilac peaks trail off into mist behind. The sky hangs like an ethereal dream above, each cloud a spark of happiness drifting in a sea of contentment. The beauty of nature holds a dear place in her heart, as she spends nearly all her days looking out to the world, hoping that the next day will increases its beauty even more. Minev always watches, fearing her stepping outside may ruin its beauty, but maybe one day she will get enough courage to finally go outside.
