Blancblack dragons are a two-headed breed known for their hardiness and easygoing nature. They are omnivorous, with the cream head preferring to eat plants and the violet head preferring to eat meat, and can adjust readily to harsh climates. These dragons are sociable—both with other two-headed breeds and with single-headed dragons—and can often be found as adopted members of social dragon colonies. They are often considered symbols of balance and fairness, and likenesses of Blancblacks have been found in ancient ruins associated with law and justice. Females Blancblacks have longer tails than males, which they use as whips when defending a nest from predators.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

One head is Affective and the other is Effective, but nobody seems to be able to agree on or remember which is which. Many suspect the two of trading names erratically just to be annoying. Both enjoy watching people who think they have them straight react when told they were wrong. The two hate it when someone thwarts them by using an accent in which the two words are pronounced identically. They are always carrying a little magical bottle which, if truth be told, is for capturing the screams of frustration their riddles and name-mixing produce. These screams they trade with monsters through a door-shaped portal in exchange for other magical artefacts. Neither head is interested in doing anything helpful for society, but when in need of cash they have been known to sell some monster-made artefacts. When they are too tired to be annoying themself, Affective and Effective like to hang out with Jules Auburn, another well-known pain in the tail, hoping to catch free screams.
