Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ran out of Time Dilation carries a deck of cards whenever he's on an outing with friends or family so when bored, they can play one of several card games he devised himself. Many of his favorites involve simple concepts such as matching numbers. One of them involves covertly swiping cards when a certain objective is met, which he's not good at due to his large size, but he is happy to play because most other players enjoy it. He frequently receives new decks as gifts due to his icy powers, which soak the paper in warmer areas when the snow melts. He and those he knows haven't yet discovered a spell or substance that can safely and reliably waterproof cards.
