Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Since her birth name is a text string that would probably confuse others, Blue accepts "Blue" as a nickname, even if it is awfully uncreative. She lives in a house-like structure on Island Cata Sureise, which was part of the region of Cata Sureise but seems to now be considered uninhabited territory. Blue isn't sure whether it's because she's living there now and the government doesn't wish to bother a sour and powerful ice dragon, or if some other thing unrelated to her changed Cata Sureise's stance on the island, or if the government is actually just biding and concocting plans to take it back. Sometimes, beings and other creatures show up here looking for stuff to steal or scavenge, but she has deemed everything within a 20-wingspan radius of her house hers. In every instance, a nice, big, icy puff blown their way has been enough to deter them from returning. However, she's fine with anybody making a spot within the radius their home, since they won't be taking anything out.
