Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Named Feather, this dragon lives in a group of female dragons lead by two male Canopy Dragons. She is friendly, talking to strangers who visit the forest the group lives in. Her conversations are coded, one of her plans to escape. While no visitor has figured out that she wants them to help her escape, she continues to try.

Feather is a new addition to the group of Canopy Dragons. She though that they were being hospitable, allowing her to stay the night in their territory. That night spelled her doom and now she cannot escape, trapped in a group filled with broken spirits and twisted minds. Feather has not given up yet, even when her plans fall apart and she gets punished for it.

Lately however, she has started to feel the effects of shock. One dragon had found the place and tried to free the members. Gold and Silver, the leaders, had already planned an ambush and ordered the group to kill their savior.
