Pargulus Pygmies can often be found tending to plants and foraging for food. They like to care for other living things, be it plant or animal, and will often leave the food from their foraging trips outside the dens of those who need it or even just those they think could use a treat. These colorful little dragons are especially attentive to anyone who might be struggling to find food themselves, such as the elderly, the sick, or the very young. Pargulus pygmies have a surprisingly large range considering their small size. They have been known to travel far and wide to find food to bring back to their friends.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Sometimes, when Pop Out a Little One brings little snacks to acquaintances and neighbors, they look happy and give her coins and other small trinkets in return. She doesn't know why they do this: give her inedible metal and rocks. Perhaps due to her slow mind, she doesn't talk to different dragons much and hasn't gotten a good grasp of etiquette. She's a grown-up now and is embarrassed to ask. After the trinket pile is up to her shoulders, Pop Out a Little One hauls them to the human-settled Waucoba, where, for some reason, many people gladly take them in exchange for fruitcake, cheese, bitter bean juice, chocolate, and other goodies that she cannot make.
