Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Of a proud and fierce nature, Royal Arrogance bears his name well. He is arrogant, harsh and vengeful, and may have been cruel if he had been able to handle any thoughts more complicated than "Eat—Combat—Kill". He can of course speak, but he finds it a waste of breath and time, by far preferring to arrange any annoyance with a burst of white-hot flame. Royal Arrogance is an immense bulk of muscles and sharp edges, and so doesn't seem to notice anything unless it moves right below his muzzle or dances. He eats anything, in every sense of the word, from iron kettles to entire trees, crunchy knights and even other dragons if they happen to catch his attention. Royal Arrogance spends any time that he doesn't employ for everyday life staring into space, not a single thought crossing his mind.
