Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Stonevine is a Nocturne dragon who is surprisingly peaceful. Although his physical appearance strikes some as rather threatening, Stonevine is a gentleman at heart. He learned his peaceful demeanour from his mother, Vine of Blue. However, he never quite expressed the same interests as his father, Stoneland. A lifetime of studying rocks and stargazing didn't appeal to Stonevine, so he bid his parents farewell and set off to carve his own path into the Land of HeroHorse.
Much to his own surprise, Stonevine ended up praising the fact that his parents had educated him well. He now guards the sole library in the Land of HeroHorse, a massive structure designed for all dragons to enter and read to their hearts' content. While he does little except look imposing during the day, at night he awakens and aids any dragons who happen to visit the library at that time. Stonevine enjoys his job very much and is grateful for what his parents have taught him.
