Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It can fit right in your palm.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
"Some say this dragon
Is larger than a haiku;
But most know better."
Haikute is known more for being the subject of this poem than he is for anything he has done. He has a severe case of Peter Pan Syndrome which stopped his growth at a very young age, and his scant size and slight scent make him practically invisible to many of the larger dragons. A lot of the hatchlings get along with him well, however. He tends to spend a lot of time among drakes and wyrmlings, playing and helping keep them out of trouble.
There was one semi-famous occasion on which Haiku was given an entire children nugget, which proved too large for him to eat in one siting. The playwright CHZAH1 immortalized the occurrence with a semi-autobiographical play.
