Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
A beast of a Geode, Cave Art simply towers over his siblings in the weyr. In fact, because of his frighteningly monstrous size, he can't fit in the cave and has to make do living at the mouth of it with his grandmother, Monolithium.
He is undeniably a proud individual, and won't tolerate any hatchlings (apart from his own, or close relations of his) to use him as a jungle-gym; when he rears back with a ground-shaking roar, hatchlings who may have attempted to climb him before as a dare more than often quail and flit away squealing at the sight of such a great creature.
While Art won't tolerate being used as a play-thing, for those hatchlings who pluck up the courage to approach him when he is at rest, he is patient enough to share with them fantastical and grand adventure stories -- usually involving pirates, noble swordsmen or traveling bards.
