Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It doesn’t move much, and appears to be covered in stone.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. However, the wings look too heavy to fly and are filled with beautiful crystal.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Cave Sculpture, with crystals of blue topaz and a quiet personality, is doubtlessly one of the most instantly appealing of the weyr's frozen hatchlings.

She is a delightful little Geode; more nimble than her parents, she can usually be found trotting after the adult Pebbles, Stones or her own parents, questioning them in a mellow way as to the history of all living things.  Sculpture then takes all she learns, repeating it under her breath so as to not forget, and searches for the idle Nocturnes upon the rising of the sun to entertain them throughout the day.

She is understandably much larger than the other hatchlings, barring some of the Stones; because of this as well as her overall amicable and quiet nature, she is generally left alone by the hatchlings -- although they aren't past chirping at her for a game or two when she goes lazily barreling by.

Sculpture enjoys collecting pebbles when she isn't relating history and stories to others.
