Candelabra Dragons are a spectacular sight against the dark midnight sky. The glowing orbs that decorate their golden wings can be seen from far away and give them the unparalleled brilliance they are recognizable for. Proudly earnest, Candelabra Dragons will often go to extreme lengths to protect those close to them, even giving their lives to rescue a loved one from peril. However, they do not take lightly the breaking of a promise, and have been known to unleash a furious wrath when betrayed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Globulin considers himself just an ordinary candelabra dragon. He does chores for his group, he eats and sleeps, and he tries to befriend or at least understand the motives of everybody around him. For whatever reason, he's always the target of experiments and misfires. Many times, the perpetrators say they didn't even mean to cast a spell his way or that the targeting system of the thingamajigger that they're testing was supposed to shoot randomly. A lot of apologies and gifts go to him, and though Globulin doubts whether some dragons are telling the truth and whether he's truly a magical mistake magnet, he can't complain about the presents. He had a pet white-striped rabbit once. One afternoon, he watched as Mister Fluffen turned into a crocodile, clacked its jaws, and jumped into the river. He didn't have any more pets after that.
