Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Wolf's Blood has a few odd quirks: she loves collecting shed scales and claws from many different types of creatures. <br/>As a small hatchling, when her wings are folded across her body, her sillouette looks like a large wolf. When in the shadows, she has often been mistaken for one as she has learned to imitate the wolf's howl. This keeps other dangerous creatures away and she is free to hunt for the coveted treasures that are often in dangerous places.<br/>The creatures that would try to attack a large wolf would certainly be startled by the dragon, so she has an even better defense: Surprise.
