Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling is hard to see, but in the sunlight it displays brilliant colors.

And look! Its wings have grown large enough that it can now fly. It hardly ever leaves the air now.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Hoopa is a mischievous prankster and impulsive thief who has stolen most of the items in his stash, aided by some magical rings he wears and carries. He learned teleportation magic from a powerful magi at a very young age and since then has been using his skills to make people's things go poof. The objects reappear in his cave, whose location is unknown and presumably difficult to access. Anyone who wants to pick a fight with this little dragon usually doesn't get a chance to, since he will flee via ring-portal and in some circumstances teleport another creature in to keep his foe busy. People have discussed that Hoopa will probably develop even stronger magic in the future, especially if they continue to act aggressively towards him (thus giving him a reason to refine his warping abilities), so they leave him alone.
