Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Y-Chromosomal Adam has fought what he says is one of society's biggest ills: the word "lol". "LOL" began as shorthand among humans for "little old lady" and "lots of love". Fine. It migrated to Adam's community and became "laugh out loud", an appreciation of another's attempt of humor. Also fine. Soon, the young ones were using it verbally to mean... apparently whatever they wanted. Not fine. Adam, "behind the times" as usual, can't figure out what half of the terms that tumble from their minds are about, and when his winter niece uttered, "Oh GoN, I have so much work. I'm so mad, lol", that was the last straw. He spent months arguing about the use of "lol" and its nature as speech filler. Others, already knowledgeable on this seasonal's hatred of "YOLO", saw him as a humorless old sorehead. In the end, Adam knew he couldn't control a changing language and gave up. To his close friend he said, dejectedly, "I tried my best and now I'm done, I fought the 'lol' and the 'lol' won."
