Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hero Snow is one of Loo Cuss's regular traders. Though this was his favorite place to visit when he was younger and is his home now, it's not exactly a peaceful community. His abode is not so much a house than a bunch of rubble held together with nothing but his will and strategically placed beams. Death is so commonplace that it's the subject of jokes by the locals, some of whom bet on when the next one will be, whether it's through blowing up with magic, blowing up in fiery collisions, fights that frequently break out, or being launched at the cliff face for any reason. When people question where Hero Snow's moral compass points, he says he only intervenes and helps in real and nontrivial dire situations, such as turning in to the authorities anybody who heinously incites panic when there is no emergency.
