Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Goodbye was named an exchange between Perseverance's cave and a cave faded from the memory of even Perseverance himself. A dragon was given away in exchange for a breedable female. This ended up being Goodbye.

Now, many of the younger dragons view her as the outcome of a sacrifice and (from a cave that now has a balanced amount of females and males) an unneeded one.

Only the original dragons who were there when the exchange was made know her worth and how much Goodbye gave up to help her chosen cave. The memory of the first meeting is fuzzy, as most were hatchlings at the time, but the memory of her kindness is still strong. Goodbye took her new name willingly and has traveled into many hearts. Even if no one else knows her true self, they do.

Her mate is We Will See More of You Again, but this isn't a match of love. Goodbye knows that she could never stand in the way of Will's love for Perseverance. But together they have raised a family and a friendship.
