Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to sleep during the day and glow when it wakes up at night.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

"Unartiger Junge" sort of means "bad boy". He decided he'd always want to be a kid, so he found a way to actually stay young forever. In his theory, he would not be scolded for tricks he plays on others—as he is eternally young—but that was a miscalculation. All the dragons know his real age, so they treat him more like an adult instead of a child dragon. Now he'd love to be able to grow old—but he cannot and that makes him furious at times.
