Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This Gold female is the subject of many rumors among the other sapient Breedery residents. The mere fact that she exists is vaguely sinister, given that her parents do not at all get along in public—surely Resplendence would have refused Soulhunger, even if he got over his disdain for the Gold female enough to pursue her. Yet Aquaregia is plainly their daughter. Whispers allege some sort of secret affair, or something even darker and weirder. Other rumors concern magic; she has never been caught in the act, but many dragons believe her to be an accomplished caster of hexes, curses, and bewitchings. Odd, negative happenstances are often blamed on her—though never within her earshot. Some even claim that she hunts and eats smaller, weaker dragons. Aquaregia has an unsettling aura, and her golden face often bears the smile of one who knows a dangerous, powerful secret. Aquaregia has taken a Desipis mate and is fully accepted among the Vorare Clan as one of their own.
