Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Umbras are a solitary and generally unwelcoming subspecies found in the deepest and darkest recesses of the jungle. This highly intelligent and cunning wyrm has little fondness for intruders and those seeking them either for their hoarded wisdom or gleaming, crystalline scales. They are content to leave travelers alone, but are not above bringing a swift and harsh end to those that disturb their peace.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Creeping is a malevolent and threatening dragon. He dwells in the darkest shadows, watching everything bathed in light from a distance. He gets along best with other wild dragons, those that also have an affinity for the dark and twisted. He fits right in with the vampires and monsters, though, surprisingly, even they have a false perception of him. Creeping isn't actually as tough or as dangerous as he let's on. For starters, though he is big and bulky, he isn't proficient with his strength and has never actually ended a life, not a dragon's anyway. He is a fairly talented hunter, but he isn't so violent as others seem to believe he is. This is Creeping's specialty. He can twist the truth in ways that alter others' perceptions of reality, sometimes not just with lies but also with shadowy illusions. Creeping is a genius when it comes to telling tales. He knows how to twist the truth just enough, to use just to right words to turn any scenario into overblown hysteria.
