Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems shy, but loves attention.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Antananarivo lives in the tropics where there are few humans, if any. She loves spreading Christmas (and other holidays) cheer and will travel around the world in the twelfth month to visit a great number of humans. Many of them are confused either because they don't celebrate the holidays she has in mind or because she seems to be the "wrong" breed. Antananarivo insists she knows her purpose and dislikes when people think she's a lost little hatchling.
