Labradorite dragons are some of the most potent siphons of mana in Valkemare. Dragons and other magical creatures in close proximity to a Labradorite will weaken over time, and extended exposure may even be fatal. However, Labradorites have no control over this effect; any harm they may cause is almost always unintentional. In order to protect others from their draining, they make their homes in the labyrinthine depths of underground caves. Perhaps as a result of this seclusion, Labradorites are gracious hosts to the brave few who dare explore their dark caverns. Legends tell of how these curious dragons traded their sight for wisdom, and those who seek their guidance are richly rewarded with stories, advice, and the odd gemstone.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tightly-Wound Perfection lives on the peninsula with a small number of other dragons, where she grows wheat and beans and occasionally "watches" over the dappled cattle when their owner is away. She used to babysit his cats, too, but she was found to be too high-strung. She welcomes all visitors to the farm and her cave and likes to chat with the scholarly folk about what they're studying. Sometimes, the visitor is somebody who documents dragon behavior and is intrigued by the members of her group. Tightly answers all their questions as best as she can. When it comes to the more mysterious breeds such as rift wyrms, nocturnes, and arcanae, they don't know if the peninsula dragons are "typical specimens", but they seem to find her information and opinions very helpful. When her visitor is extra entertaining, she, ahem, borrows one of her neighbor's spacetime parrots to gift to them.
