Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Reader is a humble, well-meaning dragon who is very kind, despite her lack of social skills. She tries her hardest to interact with others but falls flat on her snout the moment she opens her mouth. She gets along best with her Script sisters: Story and Genre. The three of them all enjoy reading and will often spend hours together discussing books. Reader wishes she can find that same manner of kinship in others, but most dragons she meets aren't too interested in picking up a book. Reader tends to get the most invested in fantasy stories, and it isn't uncommon for her to make references to her favorite material. It's part of the reason she can't make friends easily, she often gets carried away and can't help but go on and on about her favorite stories. Her siblings, at least, see this as less of a quirk and more of a sign of passion, particular Story who also loves fantastical tales.
