Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chilly Rum is the son of the energetic Ice dragon The Bone Chiller and mysterious Cavern Lurker Reaper. He shares the fiery personality with his mother, but has no trace of inheriting anything from his father. Rum is quite arrogant and vain, and can often be seen strutting around the cave, showing off his muscular ice-laden body and shimmering cool scales. The females always fall for him, which merely fuels the flames, but he has no intention flirting with them. He appreciates the attention, but he wants power and glory. He yearns for the praising and limelight from elder dragons, the ones who could give him more. Rum is also hot-headed, and rarely uses the advice others tell him. He never gives anything a second thought, no matter how extreme they may be.

Rum does not know who his father is, and his mother intends to keep it that way. Not that Rum would want to know.
