Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
With nimble claws and a strong creative mind, Fiddler Moth-Catcher is, as of yet, the only dragon on the weyr to create musical instruments.
Her pride and joy—and, indeed, the instrument she has the most skill with -- is a large assortment of thin leather strings tied taught between the fork of an oak-tree; she soaks the leather in her saliva to soften the sinews, before running a thin wand of tendon stretched on a whale-bone over them to create music sounding rather like a violin.
It is her innocent obsession that earned her the name 'Fiddler' amongst humans; many humans travel to see the odd little White Stripe gently playing her dragon-harp, ignoring those around her until the piece she was working on earned her satisfaction.
