Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

While APita is talented at healing, he is terrified of being anywhere near illness and becomes nauseous at the sight of blood. For some time, he was encouraged to practice medicine anyways by a family that would not look beyond his white scales and feathers. Still, he snuck out at any opportunity and usually ended up in the kitchen, baking. His hobby became an opportunity one day when he heard the Blusang Broadcasting Coalition was looking for amateur bakers to compete in "The Great Blusang Bake-off". APita signed up right away and was accepted onto the program. From the espresso cake with chocolate frosting he made in the first round, his baking was a force to be reckoned with. His six-herb pudding got him through the second round, and although he almost lost the third round because of the mincemeat pie in the follow-the-recipe round, the forth round—unleavened bread—was his specialty. His life-mana doughnuts won the competition.
