Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

TJ builds contraptions of metal, wood, and resin that can do a number of interesting things, though its favorite seems to be dragon-shaped toys with movable limbs. They can be repositioned by hand, though a burst of electricity can keep the parts moving on their own for a few seconds. It's said a number of times that its goal is to one day create a machine that can "think". The little dragon hangs out with hatchlings because of their love for the toys it makes and also because the adults find its behavior strange, calling it "emotionless and stiff" and describing its speech as "tinny", "stilted", and "terse". Even the pair of electrics who first discovered it wandering around on its own say they're sometimes unnerved by their adoptee's actions. TJ appears to care not at all about the opinions of others and continues to craft devices and entertain its playmates.
