Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Innocence was a perfectly normal as an egg, and should have grown up as a lovely dragon. Instead she was an unlucky victim to a Vampire dragon, but still managed to have a somewhat ordinary life. Most of the other dragons accepted her, although hatchlings rarely played with her, but she was generally treated much better than other Vampires until that horrid day that almost every Vampire experiences. She bit an egg when she shouldn't have. The dragons had until then accepted her as one of their own in hope that she would turn out differently, but it had turned out to be a vain attempt. Frustrated by their own failure, the dragons turned Innocence into an outcast. She didn't understand what she had done wrong and was heartbroken by the loss of the friendship of the dragons she considered close enough to be family. Eventually she grew as bitter, cruel, and twisted as the Vampire who bit her egg, and her owner decided to add 'Shattered' to the end of her name.
