Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Tanzadria AuburnBurst (after the gemstone: Tanzanite) joined the clan cave as the 209th dragon, her egg easily visible to The Clan Mother one brisk and clear spring night. Like others of her kind, her scales twinkle brightly like the heavens, while her spirit can lift one almost as high as the stars above. She is a burst of vitality and strength, an auburn blast of warmth and gentility. Even as a hatchling, she displayed a fondness for humans, and seems to take great pleasure in their company. With keen eyesight, and amazing reflexes, she soars high above the clan cave each night in search of weary travelers in need of shelter. Although the clan elders view her activities with mild trepidation, The Clan Mother enthusiastically welcomes her found guests with open arms, always delighted to serve as hostess and friend. During the daytime, she prefers the deep, dark confines of the clan cave, resting away the hours in quiet and peaceful contemplation, waiting for night to fall once again.
