Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tanzial Mystal StarBurst (Clan Mystal) was born into the clan cave as the 228th Clan Mystal dragon, the offspring of a brilliant pair of star crossed lovers. Like her mother, she radiates with a vibrant warmth so strong it could melt an ice cap, and she seems to possess an uncanny ability to soften her father's temper and anger. A true vision of fire in the sky, she soars through the heavens as a gleaming and bright star against the blackened backdrop of night. She is a burst of fresh air with a personality to match and few of her brethren dare to challenge her in flight or fancy. Her father is extremely protective of her, and while she certainly does not require his efforts, she seems to calmly accept his gestures with grace and kind amusement. She is very fond of the younglings, and often engages in games of hide-and-seek with them, secretly teaching them much needed skills in the process. With each passing year, she seems more and more hopeful to one day have offspring of her own.
