Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As the son of a great leader, a lot of things were expected of PaintedSoul- a lot of things of which he wasn't capable.

He had to escape. He couldn't have lived, undergoing all of that pressure his entire life or having to stare into his father's disappointed eyes.

He'd run away. He escaped the kingdom and started to build a life of his own. He found a Daydream dragon named FlutterFlare, alongside whom he happily lives.

He misses his family more every day, wondering what his life would have been like if he'd decided to stay... but that was behind him now. Now he had his own family, a family who loved him for who he was.
