Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Virotha grew up in the Mountains of Elgar, given to the human girl named Flight as an egg by her parents. Her father and mother were raised by Flight's best friend and fellow dragon guardian, Ember Nuria, and Virotha often visits them on the tallest Mountain of Elgar. Virotha is a kind soul, but she can also be proud and isn't one to let others just push her aside. Virotha had two other littermates growing up and along with all other dragons raised by Flight, considers them her siblings. These littermates, the cold and violent Olive dragon named Serpentine of the Gems, and the sweet tempered Neotropical named Vopentyr, were and still are Virotha's constant companions. The three are known as the Triplets, for it's uncommon to see one without the other two. Despite their closeness, Virotha and Serpentine often clash with each other, though their disagreements never come between them. Virotha lives in the forest of Erdi with her brothers, Serpentine and Vopentyr.
