Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ariana is as sweet as any dragoness can be, sadly though she is not very intelligent. Her mind seemed to have stopped developing at an early stage and although she has somewhat instinctual magic, she will never master complicated spells or understand theory of any kind. For the longest time Ariana's parents took care of her, because both of them were good dragons at heart, or at least tried to be. But having to deal with a child that never really grew up took its toll and the temper of her mother—which wasn't that great to begin with—grew worse and worse.

It was a relief really when the kind-hearted and patient Beltira fell in love with the somewhat simple Ariana and took her as a mate.
