Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Zalexia. Famed great protector. Also lost, confused adolescent.<br/>As hatchlings, they all want to be like her, always appearing at just the right time to save the day only to disappear once more in a shroud of mystery and shadow.<br/>But it's hardly the glamorous, fun life everyone believes it is. Zalexia lives in shadow and pain.<br/>Truly, Zalexia is hyper-empathetic, adept to feeling and knowing what pains another. Feeling other's sorrow as easily as her own woes pushes her onto the fringes.<br/>But try as she might, between her parents and her feelings of duty to her clan, she doesn't live in complete isolation.<br/>She does, however, stay apart, leaving the moment everything settles down. Through this, she has acquired a superhero visor.<br/>Zalexia has gotten pretty lucky in the breeding department recently. But it's not the relationship you would expect. Valzarnsi is fairly emotionless, watching her detachedly through deep-set lifeless green eyes. He scares her but he has her transfixed just as well.
