Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ridiculous Queen Cleopatra was a gift to the scrollmaster, bred specifically as a 2nd gen mate for Ridiculous King Frill. The Frill Clan was often overlooked, so Ahavah had decided to pursue an even-gen project for them. The king had waited a long time for a mate, and he was eager and solicitous upon their wedding night. For both, it was love at first sight.

Those were the happiest days of Cleo's life. She and King grew closer as they raised their son, speaking frankly of their dreams for the clan. They worked closely with the scrollmaster, becoming the envy of the other clans. The Black Queen, matriarch of all clans, grew jealous of the attention the Frills were gaining. She cursed the Clan, making them all barren, and the King disappeared in shame. Cleo rules now, and she's made it her life's mission to hunt down the Black Queen and ruin her, bringing honor to the frills once again. She studies in secret, trying to perfect both magic and warfare. She's getting very good at both.
