Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. When you meet its eyes, you get the feeling it’s staring straight into your soul.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sunseyre would one day like to travel the entire, world, maybe even rule it. She doesn't know how big it is, but it's probably manageable. She can't stray far from her home cave, but every day, she learns more and more about her environment and devours all the knowledge her father has to offer. Some of the Big Kids once told her that there're actually lots of worlds, not just this one with trees and humidity. They said that if she walks for long enough, she'll encounter places with giant ponds, great expanses full of sand, land made of frozen water, geometric caves built by scaleless aliens, and much more. And those worlds have lots of plants and animals and stuff that look nothing like the ones she knows. That sounds pretty wild, and while Sunseyre respects all the Big Kids, she is certain they're telling tall tales to mess with her, and she's not going to fall for them.
