Royal Crimson Dragons are so named due to their massive size and confident, regal bearing. Most of the time they are laid back, ignoring non-prey creatures smaller than themselves, although they will occasionally take fresh kills from other dragons as a reminder of their place in the social order. Although there are few other dragons large enough to pose a threat to Royal Crimsons, they have little tolerance for potential rivals and will fiercely defend their territory from such intruders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Brick is very similar to her mother and sister: stubborn, proud, and full of fighting spirit. She's incredibly loyal to both of them, protecting them almost like a dog. She supports them both wholeheartedly, as well as anyone else she comes to trust. To everyone else, she either completely ignores them or hates them with a fiery passion (her uncle, Jam, takes the crown on that one.) Brick is actually pretty stupid. She is the least intelligent of the Royal Crimson Dragons in her family (her name unfortunately doesn't just refer to the vibrant color of her scales.) She is at least a talented huntress and incredibly physically powerful. She's the biggest of her siblings and can overpower other dragons easily, even ones of greater than her in height. She has a real sense of battle prowess, never giving up during or ever saying "no" to a fight or running away. She runs into everything head-on, barreling through with her thick skull, never considering consequences for a second.
