It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Padha, despite being a mix of Black, Magi, Purple and White blood, has mostly taken on the characteristics of this last species. Although lacking any healing magic, she is a peaceful dragon and will try to heal the wounded with what skills she has.

Once upon a time, a blazing storm carried a plump, brightly coloured dragon onto her father's lands. The fervent traveler, called Aimsir Shamhraidh, was welcomed warmly, fed, healed and cared for by Dimmu Borgir and his family. In turn, the cheerful Summer would conjure bright flowers and rainbows out of nowhere to entertain his hosts, and promised to visit his new friends if he'd travel their way again. This promise he kept.

Thirsty for love, Padha often gazes after him in longing, hoping that he'd take notice of her and take her along on his journeys, but this doesn't happen very often: Aimsir is too much wrapped up in his own, happy little world.
