Aether Wyverns have the ability to control winds utilising air mana. During mating season, rival males often attempt to impress females by hanging onto a rock beside the female and letting another Aether Wyvern blast gale-force winds at them. The one to stay on the rock the longest wins, and if the female wins, she will reject both males. These wyverns also use their ability to control winds to blow away intruding dragons or to capture prey, though an Aether Wyvern’s aim is not perfect. As a solution to their imperfect aim, these wyverns will create large winds that often blow away much more than they originally intended to.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The humans stood between Verward and the town gates, waiting for her next move. Her eyes were drawn to their sheathed blades, and she searched her memory for their name. Ah: "swords". She feared what the weapons could do but also felt a desire to investigate and take one for her hoard. Alas, the guardsmen would not let her near their swords. She quickly left before anything serious could occur.

So goes the story of the first encounter between Verward and the denizens of Grand Golf Gulch. After weeks of consideration, she decided to take the difficult but peaceful route to getting a sword: she brought a gift of boulders of ore to be smelted and applied for apprenticeship at the smithy. The smiths, remembering she didn't offer much threat before, agreed to teach her. Her natural magical ability with air allowed her to move objects around and use tools without trouble.

Verward has been working at that smithy on-and-off for decades and has taken home a few pieces of weaponry and armor.
