Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Despite his strange and vaguely scary name, Blue Yuck is a very docile and kind dragon, though the way he uses language is a little more blunt, or simple and down-to-earth if one were to put it nicely. He was named after a mishap involving liquid mana and a new wheat-treat recipe that he had invented some decades ago, which he now stubbornly denies, insisting that everyone "has it remembered all wrong". In the beginning of winter, Blue Yuck leaves his icy home to visit various dragons and humans, most of whom happily welcome him and tell him about recent events that occurred in their region, although they politely turn down his offer to share some foodstuffs that he made up.
