Wisteria Dragons are gentle, forest-dwelling dragons named for the wisteria that they weave into their fur. The flowers grow lusher and more beautiful as a result of the proximity to the dragon’s life mana, and in turn become a source of pride and honor for each Wisteria Dragon. Each dragon’s specific arrangement of flowers is unique, and it is uncommon for more than one Wisteria Dragon to ever be recorded in the same section of a forest. Despite their solitary nature, many have said that setting out a small offering of flowers by the edge of a forest on a sunny day is enough to cause these dragons to appear—although most see only a blur of bright purple flitting between the trees. Even such brief sightings are thought to bring health and longevity to a lucky observer.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A lot of locals believe that Aesir Wit has the cutest giggles, and it just so happens that when she's happy, the floral life around her stands taller, blooms brighter, and rids itself of diseases and fungus. Word recently got around that she enjoys wordplay. Thus, visitors to her bit of the Forest of Glooms try to entice Aesir Wit with flowers and one-liners when they believe she's nearby, to hear her laughter. The forest inhabitants residing in closer proximity to her land know her as the dragon who has spotted cats. Cats, by nature, are pretty elusive creatures, and the ones in the Forest of Glooms even more so, but Aesir Wit is stealthy with a sharp eye, so she can spot them. She could say she's the best at spotting cats. So far, there is no purpose this skill can fulfill.
