Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Toorie was very small, he helped some humans bless their house with his lunar powers. He didn't actually do much except wave his little arms and pelt the side with a mana shard, but the humans appreciated the gesture, and one pair of adults gave him a gift: a bonnet made of wool with a little ball on top. They explained it was worn for special occasions. Toorie loved the hat, especially the fuzzy ball, and he wore it until it didn't fit his head. It has long stopped functioning as a hat and is now a tattered cave ornament, but the statement the humans made about it stuck with Toorie. He liked the idea of wearing a special something for an important event, and he really liked his old bonnet's decorative puffball. Whenever he attends a big party, parade, or cabinet session, he comes out of his cave covered in colorful pom-pom balls—that's his idea of dressing up for a special occasion.
