Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its two heads seem to prefer different things.

And look! It grew a mane, and its colors have become more contrasting! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Only Fools and Horses Work is averse to work. He's well-aware that other desert denizens, especially the really old ones, have lofty expectations of him, and those feelings of him doing Great Things once he's grown have only increased as he has aged. They are going to be sorely disappointed. He makes an effort to just squeak by on tasks: the heads working together could easily achieve a perfect score on something but choose not to, and he can finish a job with time to spare but makes sure he doesn't. He, of course, won't do so poorly that he's thought of as irresponsible, though. His peers who know what he's up to wonder if the great effort sometimes required to strike a perfectly mediocre balance is really worth undertaking.
